Anti-Wrinkle Injections: Asking the Right Questions to Your Skin Care Specialist

In order to get answers about anti-wrinkle injections, you need to ask the questions to your cosmetic doctor. It’s an effective way of getting information unless of course the person you’re asking the questions to don’t know the answers.

By getting information one can make the right decisions based on them. It may not necessarily be the correct decision but at the very least it will be an informed one. Besides, who is to say what is right and wrong for a person?

That’s why if you are planning to get anti-wrinkle injections in Sydney you need to know what questions to ask the surgeon or the cosmetic doctor. This way you can make the proper decision without any guessing. These questions have to do with finding out things about the surgeon who will be doing the procedure. This is so you can determine if they would be someone you can let cut you up as the saying goes.

1. How long have they been in the practice? Longevity means experience and the longer they have doing this the better they are – or so the theory goes.

A new cosmetic doctor may be good but they may not have the methodology down as compared to someone who has been doing this for years. Besides, people tend to trust those who have been there longer than those who have just started.

2. How many such procedures have they performed? Of course, just because they’ve been doing this for a long time doesn’t mean much unless they have done a lot of it.

Even if they’ve been doing this for 10 years but only do 2 a year they’ve only done 20 anti-wrinkle injections and other cosmetic procedures total. Compare this with someone who has been doing it for only 2 years but has done over 40 of them and you will see that the latter will have more hands-on experience than the former.

3. What are their qualifications? This is an important question to ask. How did they get to where they are? Their academic background can give you a clue as to their competence.

In connection with this you also want to ask what certifications and licenses they hold. Only board certified surgeons should do operations and skin care procedures. If they are board certified this means that they have passed a rigorous testing period. This means that they have been tested to see if they are competent enough to do the job without hurting or killing their patient.

4. Can you look at some of the work that they’ve done? Most, if not all, cosmetic plastic surgeons will have a body of work that they are proud of. They will probably have photos to show prospective patients much like artists will have a portfolio of their best works. This way, you can see just how good these surgeons are when they eventually perform the anti-wrinkle injections on you.

If you want, you can also ask to talk to some of their patients. This way you can get a first-hand account of just how good the cosmetic doctor is. Better yet, you should try and talk to patients before going to see the doctor so you have a better idea from someone who was not referred by the doctor.
